The story
This limousine truly reflects the custom nature of the superyacht industry. Built for an 83.5 m Feadship yacht, the 9.3m tender combines all the advantages of an open day boat and a luxurious limousine.
Xtenders collaborated with Vripack and Structeam to engineer the vessel. The tender is made solely out of pre-preg carbon fibre and weighs a mere 3.2 tons. The lightweight design allows for a single engine with bow thruster set-up and a max speed of 39 knots.
This limousine includes two separately actuated roofs that define the tender’s functionality and allow for an exceptionally low storage height:
Raising the coachroof and the bimini creates a fully functional limousine with two separate decks. When the bimini is raised over the aft deck using a smartly concealed pantograph mechanism, one gets a versatile tender with two open decks. Finally, in order to fit the tender into the yacht’s garage, both roofs can to be lowered down into the hull, bringing the total storage height to 1.55 m.
The interior includes a panoramic roof, continuous LED lighting, climate control, and a multimedia system. The aft deck, with a folding transom and two removable benches, is designed to become a multifunctional platform for leisure and water sport activities.
